Two stabbed outside northwest Calgary restaurant

Calgary police are investigating after two people were stabbed outside a northwest Calgary restaurant Saturday afternoon.

Officers responded to calls of the stabbing on the 1700 block of 2nd Street N.W. at 2:35 p.m. Saturday. A person had been stabbed multiple times, police said.

EMS said they responded to an adult male with traumatic injuries thought to have been injured during an altercation in the parking lot outside of a restaurant. That person was transported to Foothills Medical Centre in serious, life-threatening condition, police said.

A second stabbing victim later arrived at hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

One suspect vehicle was located by police, with a search ongoing for a second. HAWCS was dispatched to assist in the search.

No arrests have been made in relation to the stabbings.
