The exteriors were specifically designed to blend aesthetically with the architectural style of Inglewood, with bold dark accent colours combined with earth tone siding, providing a modern appeal, augmented by large outdoor living spaces and extra-large windows, says Don O’Dwyer, development manager, StreetSide Developments.
“Konekt in Inglewood has been a gem and has been highly anticipated since its purchase in 2005. The project has gone through many designs to get to the point where StreetSide found the perfect fit for the historic community of Inglewood,” says O’Dwyer, adding he was recently approached by a neighbour asking about buying one of the homes. “Even in these unprecedented times, there seems to be a keen interest in this project. Seeing excitement and anticipation reaffirmed that our hard work and effort is appreciated, and that others trust us to improve the neighbourhood that they know and love.”
Konekt is ideally located along Inglewood’s Green Pathway System, which links Pearce Estate Park in the east to the River Walk and Fort Calgary in the west.
The project site is located directly in the heart of Calgary’s oldest community, says O’Dwyer.
“The site is steps away from the Bow River, The Bow Habitat Station and Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery, the Inglewood Aquatic Centre, and the community’s bustling 9th Avenue District,” he says.
