See how net zero meets townhomes in Zen Sequel show suites

Show homes in Calgary’s first net zero-ready multi-family project, Zen Sequel by Avalon Master Builder, open Sept. 12.

The energy-efficient stacked townhome project is in Brookfield Residential’s Seton in the southeast, BILD Calgary Region’s Best New Community of 2019. It’s Avalon’s first attempt at net zero and net zero-ready multi-family homes, part of a national pilot program in conjunction with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association (CHBA).

The three show homes are the 515-square-foot Braeburn, a single-level one-bedroom, one-bathroom unit; the 1,381-square-foot Prima, a two-storey, two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom model with private rooftop patio and fenced yard; and the 1,169-square-foot Ambrosia, another two-storey floor plan with two bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and fenced yard.

There are three-bedroom options with seven available floor plans ranging in price from the $160,000s to the $270,000s. Each plan follows Avalon’s successful recipe for stacked townhome living, with models currently selling in Zen Riverstone in the southeast and Zen Rockland Park in the northwest.
