The government weather agency also said that there will likely be frost over most of Alberta on Monday and Tuesday morning, especially in the southern and central regions.

The “abrupt transition” comes as Calgary is likely to experience daytime highs near 30C on Saturday. A cold air mass will cause overnight lows to hit near zero by Monday and there is a chance that we could have a snowy Labour Day Monday.

Currently, it is forecast to be a rainy weekend after the hot Saturday.
