Currently, those who live alone can have up to two non-household social contacts, otherwise Albertans must limit close contact with household members only.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, is expected to give an update on Alberta’s COVID-19 response at 3:30 p.m.

The province recorded 669 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, along with the lowest test positivity rate since October.

Prior to Thursday’s update, there are 10,565 active cases in Alberta with 744 in hospital, 124 of whom are in the ICU. The death toll sits at 1,484.
