Alberta Health Services has served written warnings to two Calgary establishments after inspectors found they weren’t following all pandemic-related regulations.

Lounge Central, located on 17 Ave N.W., and Tropical on 17, located at 1424 17 Avenue SW, were both written up by AHS for lax physical distancing enforcement.

At Lounge Central, an inspector noted patrons seated at the bar, which did not have a barrier installed. A party of 15 people was seated together when the limit is six, and one patron was seen hugging the staff members.

At Tropical, seven patrons were seen seated together. Also, patrons were reported to be singing, and staff in the kitchen were not wearing masks.

Both establishments were ordered to make changes and submit documentation of their relaunch plan to AHS for review.
