Woman in her 30s dies from COVID-19 as province reports another 243 cases

An Edmonton woman has become the second Albertan in their 30s to die from COVID-19 as the province reports another 243 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Wednesday, according to Alberta Health.

There are 2,689 active cases in the province and about 54 per cent of those cases are in the Edmonton zone which has seen a steep increase in the last few weeks. The woman in her 30s was the 287th death from COVID-19 and one of the youngest to die in Alberta.
