Article content continued

To make certain the sound design is effective, Kwong brought KP Smith on board, who she says has done a remarkable job.

In Ai Yah! Face the Facts, Kwong’s heroine Jade is in dire need of a vacation. When she sees an advertisement for a cheap, all-inclusive cruise to Alaska, she books it immediately not doing any further research.

Upon arriving in Vancouver to board the ship to Alaska, Jade discovers she has booked a lesbian cruise. She is about to embark on a voyage of self-discovery.

In the podcast, Jade is played by Selina Wong with a supporting cast that includes Lara Schmidt, Mike Tan, Pat Chan and Ben Wong.

Ai Yah! Face the Facts will have its streaming premiere on Aug. 28 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. It will then be available to stream for one calendar year.
