10-year-old girl sexually assaulted while walking to school, Calgary police say

A 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while walking to school Friday morning, according to Calgary police.

Police received a report around 8:15 a.m. that the girl was approached by a teenage male while walking to school on the 1400 block of 41st Street S.E. The teenager allegedly touched the girl inappropriately.

The girl continued to school, where police were alerted.

Police described the teenager as a white man with curly black hair. They said he was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a blue face mask.

Police said they patrolled the area but did not find anyone matching the description.
