Witness sought after 2 men stabbed outside downtown pub last week

Police are looking for a specific witness in relation to a double stabbing that occurred in downtown Calgary last week.

Investigators released security camera photos on Friday of a man they believe has information about the interaction that occurred between the victims and their assailant.

Officers responded to a call around 11:30 p.m. on Aug. 31 that two men had been stabbed at an intersection near Eighth Avenue and Fifth Street S.W. 

The victims were taken to hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Shortly before the assault, the victims had left the Unicorn Pub, at 223 Eighth Ave. S.W., and were interacting with people and motorists nearby, police said in a news release.
