Northbound lanes of Deerfoot Trail between McKnight Boulevard and Memorial Drive have now reopened after temporarily being closed in both directions as Calgary police dealt with multiple collisions.
One southbound lane is also now open, but police said one southbound lane will remain closed through rush hour.

Police were called at around 12:20 p.m. for reports of multiple collisions, involving about six vehicles, on southbound Deerfoot Trail, according to Calgary police.

One person was taken to hospital in serious, potentially life-threatening condition.
